Ripon Together has announced the launch of its annual celebration of those who make Ripon the wonderful supportive city that it is. We want your nominations for all those who should be recognised and thanked for what they do for Ripon. The closing date is 27 September.
Nominations can be made using the online form at [link], either submitting it electronically or printing it out and delivering it to Community House.
The highlight will be a reception for all those nominated to be held in the cathedral on 22 October. It has become an important date in Ripon’s annual calendar. The idea is to recognise and thank all those who voluntarily make such a difference to our great city. At that event, an award will be given in each of 10 categories, with an additional award given for the overall volunteer of the year.
The scheme is driven by your nominations. We want to hear from you about all the people and organisations you feel should be recognised for what they do for the city and its people – not just those who you think are likely award winners. The scheme is nothing without your nominations – and it means so much to all those nominated, not just award winners, because being nominated is a rare recognition of what people do for others.
